Happy Birthday Alisha

The family got together tonight to celebrate my sis-n-law, Alisha’s birthday. Outback was the restaurant of choice, and it was fabulous as always. I love getting to spend these moments with my family. Happy Birthday Alisha! Facts About 1st Grade

I asked Raelee what she thought the good and bad things were going to be about 1st grade, then I asked her the same things after her first day. Here are her responses:

Before 1st day:

Good- We get to be the BIG kids….well, bigger than the Kindergarteners.

Good- We don’t have to take naps!

Good- We probably will get to go to the library more, and read a lot more books since we can read now.

Bad- No snacks!

Bad- No centers

Bad- I’m going to miss Mrs. Burton (kindergarten teacher)

 

After 1st day:

Good- Yoshimi and Anna Claire are in my class

Good- We get to bring home a reading book everyday

Good- We ARE the big kids…except not bigger than the 2nd or 3rd graders.

Bad- They try to starve us! (they eat a whole whopping 20mins later…LOL)

Bad- I really want to take a nap, but they said we have to keep our eyes open. (yes, no naps was on the good list BEFORE the first day…LOL)

Bad- We had to work ALL day

LOL, it’s so funny how their little brains work. I am so excited about this year, and think Raelee is going to love her new teacher and 1st grade : )

First Day Of 1st Grade

Wow! Seriously…1st grade? My baby girl is growing entirely too fast. She was super excited about the first day of school and seeing all of her friends. She has several friends in her class that she already knew, and many new sweet ones too. Her teacher, Ms. Burk, had a baby this summer and will not be back until Sept.13th. That’s ok though, because i’ve heard she’s worth the wait. Raelee is so excited to have her….and so am I! Here is what my baby girl looked like on her BIG day. I’ve decided to take a pic each school year with her holding up the grade she’s in by the front door. It will be so fun to look back at after 12 years : )

Happy Birthday Kathryn

Raelee and I went to her friend, Kathryn’s birthday party today. All the girls are so excited about starting school this week. What a fun way to end the summer…..with a pool party : )

Meeting New Cousins

My cousin, Teresa and her son Harlan, came in to meet baby Madison. All the cousins were here, except Dylan, to meet the new addition. They had a blast swimming and just laughing their heads off. Colton, Alyssa, Madison, Raelee and Harlan Great-Aunt Kim and Madison This lasted all of 2 mins…..if that! Welcome Miss Madison….you’re running with a wild bunch : )

Just A Little Summer Fun

An Overdue Lunch Date

Our friends Rocky and Rachael came in town and we were so excited to get to meet them for lunch. Did I mention that they have had an adorable daughter since the last time we have seen them? So, Lil Miss Madelyn, Rocky and Rachael met up with the Johnson Clan and a couple other people for a much needed lunch at Superior. She is so precious, and she kept wanting to touch Raelee’s hair and give her kisses. Raelee loved her and it made her feel like such a big girl. Madelyn and Rachael…aka Mommy Madelyn and Rocky….aka Daddy She is giving me sweet soft kisses : ) Superior makes me sleepy too!

I just love meeting up with old friends that we don’t get to see very often, and picking up right where we left off. We love you guys and Miss Madelyn is a doll : )

Welcome Baby Madison

The Hagedorn side welcomed a new addition to the family yesterday. Baby Madison Elizabeth Moore was born 5lbs 10oz. Mommy, daddy and baby are doing great. I got to go the hospital today and get some fabulous snuggles. Nothing like staring at a brand new miracle. Congrats John and Tammy!
