Awana Awards

Raelee joined Awana's at Ellerbe Baptist Church. She absolutely LOVES it. Sunday night her group, "The Sparks", earned their vest and book. They had a ceremony for the parents to see them receive it. She was so proud, and I must admit.....so was I! She is doing so well learning her verses and bible stories : )

Back In Action

Raelee was out of school for 4 days last week with this crazy fever virus going around. Her school carnival was Saturday, so she was so upset that she was sick. Thursday afternoon her fever broke and we kept her home Friday just to be safe. Saturday, she was totally fine, so off to the carnival we went. The LSU game was on, so Daddy and Colton went to Pappy's while Raelee and I headed out for fun. She had so much fun, and was so excited to introduce me to lots of new friends. I am so glad that she is so happy with her school and really enjoys it : )Raelee and Shelby

Raelee and KathrynAfter lots of gatorade, pizza, jumpies, games, and many attempts at the cake walk.....we called it a day! Sorry PawPaw, we tried to win the chocolate cake : (

A Bit of Brit

I hate to admit this.....but, I went to the Britney Spears concert and it was AMAZING. Me and Lisa went to donate blood, and we each got 2 FREE tickets to the concert. They were in the lower level and were $75 seats. Can you say...WOW?! So we gathered up a couple of friends and had a "girl's night". It was not like a concert at all. It was more like a Vegas show. It was a circus theme, and there were incredible performers the entire time. That girl danced for 2hrs without skipping a beat. Way to go.... to our LOUISIANA girl!!!!!You can't have a girl's night without having dinner first. Trejos was our choice for the night.

I am so proud of that little girl. She gets out there and gets right in the middle of those boys without any hesitation. She is NOT going to let a boy out do her! warming upgo get em girls where is the ball?

Welcome Home Carley

Our favorite dolphin trainer, Carley, came home for a short visit. The kids were so excited to see her....especially Colton! He was smitten with her and would not let her out of his site. He was flashing those big brown eyes, and luscious lips. He gave her plenty of hugs and kisses to last her until her next trip back : )
We love you and miss you Carley!!!!

Raelee's Mini Me

Well, "we" had our first Kindergarten project this week. (and we even finished it a day early, I might add) Raelee was sent home a paper doll, and we were to decorate it to look like her. She wanted it to be a ballerina/princess. So....off to my craft supplies we went. We just kind of made it up as we went along. She had a tutu with the matching scrunchy, so we used that for the doll's skirt. When we were done, Raelee put on her matching outfit, and they took pics together. Here is the finished project : )She had so much fun doing this. I just wish ALL homework would stay this easy and fun!

Back To MDO

Colton started back to Mother's Day Out on Tuesday. These days I live for Tuesdays and Thursdays...ha! It's funny how those 4 1/2 hours fly by though. He loves Ellerbe and his new teachers. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful place to send him. He did walk around looking for Raelee though, because this is the first time he's been without her being there too.
Ready with all his Thomas the Train gear!I love you Colton, and I can't believe how fast you are growing. Just yesterday I was carrying you around all day in a sling attached to me. You've begun to spread your wings and decided that places are o.k. away from mommy. You're catching up with your big sis, but you'll always be my little baby boy. Those big brown eyes and squishy cheeks melt my heart. Your special hugs and "I love you mommy" 's will never get old. I love you so much and hope you have a wonderful year!

A Laid Back Labor Day

We spent this Labor Day lounging pool side at mom and dad's. The weather has been nuts lately, so we thought this may be our last good weekend in the pool. Brad had to go back to work, so the kids and I hung out, had some BBQ and took a swim.

Happy Birthday Dylan

Last weekend we had couple of birthdays to celebrate. Friday night, mom and dad took Raelee and Dylan for a "big kids" time at the Boardwalk. It was Dylan's birthday, so he picked to eat at Joe's Crab Shack. They came home with many goodies, and had a fantastic time. They spent the night and stayed up playing Wii. Saturday morning we went to Chuck E. Cheese to celebrate our neighbor, Ryan's, 2nd birthday. I just took Raelee and left Colton at home to watch football with daddy. I figured one kid at CEC was enough on a Saturday morning. Raelee had so much fun! Then that evening we met up with the family for Dylan's birthday dinner at Shogun. We decided to leave the 2 babies (Colton & Alyssa) at home, and just take the "big kids". I must admit, it was nice actually being able to "eat" my "hot" food.Raelee and the Birthday Boy, DylanMimi and Raelee....the 1st and 4th generation.Figuring out her chopstix.

Sunday was Dylan's "actual" birthday party. Yes, he celebrates all week like Aunt Christi! He had an inter galactic bowling party. The kids had a blast, and it was a really fun party. They loved that everything glowed in the dark, and they even had a dance party. Colton had a blast dancing and going through the bowling alley on the "train".

I thought this was so funny. Grandmother video taping, and PawPaw taking pictures....true grandparents! Finally, the Birthday Boy with all his girls. I think he was enjoying this a bit much. There was a tiny bit of jealousy going on. To think....he's only in the 3rd grade! Happy Birthday D-Ray.....We love you soooo much!
