Week 2 Of Upward

We had our squad pictures this morning. Of course it was a cold, rainy, yucky mess….but these girls still looked great! We got done a little early, so they had fun getting “pepped” up before the game.

Sensational 7!

I can not believe that I woke up this morning and my “baby” girl is 7 years old! She has grown so much this year. She started Upward Cheerleading last winter, t-ball in the spring, and Soccer and Girl Scouts in the fall. She loves 1st grade and has made many new friends. I am proud to say she is a straight A student on the honor roll. She also lost her first tooth, and is working on losing many more.

I love all the things we get to do together. She is a daddy’s girl at heart, but loves a great Girl’s Night Out with mommy. We are so much alike, therefore butt heads sometimes, but she always knows she can count on me and tell me anything. This little girl has brought so much joy to my life, and I am so thankful that God blessed ME to be her mommy. With a heart of gold, a love for life, and her simple compassion for others, she is going to go very far.

I love you my sweet Raelee, and pray that God continues to bless you each and every day. You are my angel, and I am honored to be on this journey as your mommy….MUAH!

This morning, Grandmother and Pawpaw brought over her birthday present. We have had rain and sleet, so we didn’t get to get out and celebrate, so it was a nice treat.DSC05305                                The pink marshmallow gun she had been begging for!

Grancee and Pappy came over later, and daddy had to go to the fire station. We spent the evening watching movies, sitting my the fire, and playing with all the new stuff : )DSC05311 HAPPY 7TH BIRTHDAY RAELEE MICHELLE!

From 7 to 70

This evening was a celebration of some of my favorite girls. There was a group of 13 of us that went to dinner at Trejos, then to see Hairspray the Musical! We were celebrating Mimi’s 70th birthday, Raelee’s 7th birthday, and Mrs. Pam’s somewhere in between ;) I am so upset that we never got a group picture, but here is a list of all the fabulous ladies that were there: Me & Raelee, Alisha & Alyssa, Mom, Mimi, Mamaw, Aunt Peggy, Mrs. Pam & Brook, Aunt Monette, Michelle & Madison. Dinner was yummy, the company was fabulous and Hairspray was AMAZING! They are doing it again next weekend, so you still have time to see it. Happy Birthday to all these wonderful ladies…..I love you all so much!DSC05301DSC05302 DSC05303 DSC05304

Colton’s Best Bud

This afternoon I took Colton to a birthday party for his best bud, Will. It was at a new indoor “jumpy place” called In The Zone. Colton has been there before, so he was so excited. It made it even better that it was a Toy Story party. The kids ran around like crazy and had a fantastic time. We had to leave before cake because I had to be at dinner, but I think he was so pooped, he didn’t mind. Happy 4th Birthday Will!

Ready For The Lady Wildcats?

It’s cheer time again, and my UPWARD squad this year are the Lady Wildcats. They are all 1st graders from University, and are the sweetest little group of friends. We had our first game this morning, and I couldn’t be more proud. They learned everything in one practice and went out there and rocked it! We are going to have a great season : )

Doughnuts For The Princess

Raelee’s birthday is Sunday, so I told her I would bring birthday treats to school. Her choice was mini doughnuts with sprinkles, and a special chocolate one for her….I can do that! I sat in on her class while Miss Burk went to a meeting, and we had the celebration. Raelee helped me pass them out, and everyone sang Happy Birthday. She was so excited. I just want to hold on to these last couple days of my 6 yr old *sigh*.DSC05282 DSC05280 DSC05283

Rounding Out 2010

New Years Eve was such a beautiful day, so Brad and I decided to take the kids outside on their new bikes and take down the outside Christmas decor. Yes, our kids are wearing short sleeves on January 1st….Crazy!

DSC05255 DSC05261DSC05260 DSC05257                                        Brad had to go to the fire station, so the kids and I headed to Grandmother and Pawpaws for a fish fry and fireworks.

The kids all got on the bikes (including Uncle Kevin) and rode around and did sparklers……not at the same time ; )DSC05273DSC05275 DSC05277

2010 ended pretty crummy, but all in all was a great year. I am praying for a healthy family and many blessings for 2011. Out with the old and in with the new…..Happy New Year!!!!!!

Sci-Port With Friends

We decided to take advantage of the day off, and head to Sci-Port with some friends. We met the the Bryge and Randolph families there, and had a great time. The kids were excited to see each other, after being out of school a whole week!

Johnson Family Christmas

Since Brad was at the fire station and a few of us had been sick, we had Christmas at the Johnson’s a couple days late. The kids were so excited to finally get over there after patiently waiting all day for daddy to get off….lol

Merry Christmas To Me!

I am coming to you live from my brand new laptop that Brad bought me for Christmas. It came a few days late because of the winter storms. I’m so excited, and hope this will encourage me to keep up with my blogging! : )
