Brad was at the station, so Mom, Dad and I decided to take the kids to the Mardi Gras Parade. We grabbed a quick bite to eat at LongHorn, then headed down to SciPort. We let the kids walk around and see the floats. They were so excited to run into a couple of people we knew, so they got some special beads. Raelee was very excited to see a UES teacher and a friend of our on the “La Downs” float. She got a special HORSE bead! We found a great spot, and the kids had a blast. This was Colton’s first parade, so he was a bit confused. The first float went by and he didn’t catch anything……complete meltdown! He later learned to be patient and he would get PLENTY. He was having so much fun catching balls. It’s so funny to watch Raelee. She has it down pat. She shakes those hips with her hands in the air and smiles that big toothless grin….PRICELESS : ) Checking out all the loot!

They Go Together
These sweet girl friends had a fabulous time this week performing in the UES Talent Show. We had a few performances at school, then the BIG show at night. I taught the girls a dance to “We Go Together” from Grease. They were so precious, and did such a great job. I was so proud of them because they worked so hard, and really rocked the stage : ) All of Raelee’s fans : )
The girls did so good, they got chosen to be one of groups that got to perform at 2 retirement homes, and out for pizza.

Sally Sells Seashells
That is what this precious girl is trying to say, since she has lost 2 more teeth in the last couple of days! How cute is she with all 4 front teeth missing? : )

A Visit From Cousins
Our sweet cousins from Nashville came in town for a quick weekend visit. We met them at them at the playground, since it was such a beautiful day, to let the kiddos run and play. Raelee wasn’t feeling well, so it was just Harlan, Colton, and lil Maddie.
The next day, the kids were out of school, so we headed to Kid City. This time, Raelee and Alyssa joined in on the fun.
I sure do wish we could see these guys more often. We missed their smiling faces when they’re gone : (

A Family Celebration
Last night the whole Johnson family got together for a yummy dinner at Shogun, to celebrate Grancee’s birthday. Colton loved it and thought the guy was great for making “choo choo” sounds with his whistle and steam with his onions. I’m so lucky for this “second family” and love all my brothers and sisters that I married in to. Happy Birthday Grancee!

Happy Birthday Ava
Today we went to a fun swimming party for Raelee’s friend, Ava, at the Swim School. The girls were all so excited to get to go swimming in February. After lots of synchronized jumping in, swinging on the rope, and pizza and cake….I had a very tired little girl. Happy Birthday Ava…thanks for inviting us : )

Farm Yard Fun
Raelee had her precious “Farm Yard Fun the MOOsical” this evening at school. They performed it once for the Kindergarten this morning, then for family this evening. Raelee loves music class at school and the sweet music teacher, Ms. Beckham. The fact that it was a “farm yard” theme, just added to the fun. She was excited to get to wear her cowgirl gear to school. They looked so cute, and they had a great time. One day that girl’s big dreams of being on stage just may come true ; ) Raelee played the Piggy puppet.
