Raelee Kicks Off Soccer Season

My Raelee is definitely a “soccer chick”. She LOVES soccer, and is pretty stinkin good at it! She took the field, ready to show little brother how it’s done. She ran like a champ and scored 2 goals. I am so proud of her and the determination she has. After a couple quarters of running field, she started to get sick. She had to come out and I had to strip her socks, shoes, and shin guards off. It was soooo incredibly hot out there, and she had just ran entirely too much. We were short some players, so they were having to play more than the other team. She was fine after a little Gatorade, and our team rocked it! Way to go RaeRae!!!DSC03975 Let’s go girls!DSC03979 DSC03984 DSC03986 DSC03987 SCORE!

Colton’s 1st Soccer Game

Colton jumped out of bed, SOOOO ready to put his uniform on and go play soccer. It was a long wait from 6:00am til 11:30! He was so excited and couldn’t wait to SCORE! Well, all went well for about the first 2mins of the game. He kicked the ball off, then someone else took it…..and that ladies and gentlemen, was all she wrote. He cried the WHOLE entire game because “HE” did not have the ball. Not to mention the fact that is was nap time, and 2 million degrees outside. I have never seen him cry constantly like that before, and especially if I was bribing him with something! Bless his heart, he just did not get the concept of him having the ball, then someone else can just run up and kick it away. He is still so young, so we’ll see, but looks like Colton may be putting his cleats on the shelve until tball season : (DSC03962DSC03963DSC03966 The steal that started the meltdown.DSC03967 Trying to hold back the tears.DSC03970 DSC03969DSC03972

Happy Birthday Avery

Mom and I took Raelee and Colton to Avery’s 7th Birthday Party at the skating rink. It was right after school and the kids had a blast. Colton loves to skate, and Raelee…..well, she is working on it. At one point, she had on elbow and knee pads….LOL

Can Someone Find My Cape?

I knew this time would eventually come…but it snuck up on me very fast. I now have two kids in school, involved in activities and playing sports. What that means is 2 carpool lines, homework, and many meetings, practices and games. Even though that means pizza more nights than I would like, I LOVE my life, and love the fact that I have the opportunity to be involved. I was fortunate enough to have parents that were there for everything we did, and made sure that we were able to do everything we wanted to do. I thank God everyday for those same opportunities with my children. So for now…I will dust off my cape, fill up that calendar, and enjoy the chaos…because before I know it, this will be an empty nest.

A 2nd 1st

….day of school that is. Raelee’s “real” teacher has not been at school. She had a precious baby boy this summer, and today was her first day back to school. Raelee was so excited to meet her. When she came to the car after school, she was grinning ear to ear. She LOVED Ms.Burk! Yeah…just what a mommy wants to hear. I think this is going to be a fabulous school year. So far she is doing great : )DSC03937

Painting With The Girls

My sis-n-law Stacie’s birthday was last week, so we decided to get the girls together and go paint the Peacock at Painting With A Twist. We ordered pizza, had chocolate covered strawberries, cake, and a cheese tray. There was a lot of laughing and fun being had by all. I love all these girls so much, and it was so fun to just take a break and have some grown-up time : )DSC03908 DSC03910 DSC03914 DSC03915DSC03919 The Birthday Girl!DSC03920 The finished product.

First Day Of 3yr Old Preschool

Colton has been patiently waiting for his turn to go back to school. Raelee started a few weeks ago, so we have been having LOTS of Mommy & Colton time! He was so excited to get back and see all of his friends…especially Will. Here is what my lil monkey looked like on his first day. (he was so excited to get in the car, I could barely get any pics!)

Showering My Bestie

My best friend (and cousin-n-law) Lisa, is expecting a baby girl very soon. Cassie, Stacie, and I gave her and Randall a couple’s shower at Cassie’s house. We had yummy food from Cush’s, Don cooked some wonderful gumbo, and we had a beautiful cake made especially for Sweet Caroline. The girls had fun opening gifts while the boys cheered on the LSU Tigers. We had a great time : )

Happy Birthday Dylan

Today is my nephew, Dylan’s  9th Birthday. We went to his party this weekend at the skating rink. Raelee was running fever, so she had to stay home with Brad, and Colton and I went. He had so much fun, and thought he was such a big boy skating.
