A Sad Goodbye

Today I said goodbye to my last living Grandfather. Papaw passed away this afternoon after a 3wk battle after colon surgery. We are not sure why all the complications one right after another, but we are not to question God’s reasoning. All I can do is ask for prayers for the Hagedorn family during these holidays, as we know they are going to be tough. I was in the middle of putting up Christmas decorations for the kids when I got the call, and it’s just so hard to try to keep that Christmas spirit. This will definitely be a rough one, but our family is strong, and we WILL do it.DSC02967

Holiday Train

Mom, Dad, Mimi and I took the kids downtown to see the Holiday Express KCS train. It is a train fully decorated inside and out, and travels from KCS across the US and back. Colton was amazed, and had so much fun walking through it. They even had Santa on board and hot chocolate while you waited!

Black Friday

I am a true Black Friday Shopper! This year we didn’t even go to bed. The sales started at 1opm, so us girls got our coffee and our ads and headed out. We started out with Me, Lisa, Brook, Teresa and Tammy. Brook and I finished it out at 6am! We had so much fun and got TONS of great deals. Later that afternoon everyone came back to mom and dad’s for more turkey.DSC04810 All 6 of the Hagedorn cousins together for the first time!DSC04820 The GirlsDSC04822 The BoysDSC04826

Happy Thanksgiving

We started out at lunch at the Johnson’s. I let the kids wear their Indian shirts that they made at school. Colton made one this year, and Raelee made one last year. Colton was Yellow Running Bear, and Raelee was Run Like The Wind…lolDSC04768 DSC04769 DSC04770 DSC04772 All the Johnson cousinsDSC04774 DSC04777 Brad had to go to the fire station, so me and the kiddos headed to mom and dad’s for round 2. They had a full house this year. Our immediate family, Mimi, Mamaw, The Doyle Family and the Burrow Family. Papaw is in the hospital, so it wasn’t quite the same. We still all had a good visit though, and enjoyed each others company and gave Thanks for our many blessings.DSC04779 DSC04778 WOW!

Two Of A Kind

We ran down to the Boardwalk for a bit to meet up with Margaret, Alexis, and Colton’s friend Will. Will and Colton both share a love for trains. They would have fun just watching the train at Bass Pro Shop for hours if we would let them.DSC04754 DSC04755 DSC04756 DSC04759 DSC04760

UES Thanksgiving Feast

Today was Raelee’s Thanksgiving Party/Feast in her class. We had a cute little meal set up and pin the hat on the turkey. I am so thankful that I get to spend all these precious moments with her.

Kicking Off The Holidays

We went to the Boardwalk this evening with Grandmother and Pawpaw, and Kevin, Alisha, Alyssa and Dylan met us there. We had our first Santa sighting at the Bass Pro Shop, and the kids got to do all kinds of fun things in the Santa Workshop. Next we walked over to Joe’s Crab Shack and the girls entertained us with dancing while we waited on our food. They had so much fun. That has to be the best place to take kids to eat…hands down! Everyone buckle down…..the holidays are right around the corner!DSC04692 Raelee told him she wanted an American Girl Doll, and Colton wants TRAINS!!!!
