Sunny Skies and Pumpkin Shines

We have had a very WET and yucky last couple of weeks, but on Wednesday (my birthday) the skies cleared and we had a beautiful day. I had a wonderful lunch at the Country Club with mom and mimi, then Brad and I took the kids to the Pumpkin Shine that evening. Some of these people are so creative. Raelee was excited to see the pumpkins from her school, and she can't wait until she gets to do one. It was a beautiful, and perfect birthday. Thank you all for your calls, emails, and text. It really made it amazing!Geaux TigersHamburger anyone?A Pumpkin Turkey Cinderella Pumpkin Carriage

Family Fall Fest

Sunday was Raelee's day out with mommy. I took her to a special Fall Festival at Grace Community Church. They had Trunk or Treat, horses, arts and crafts, a hay ride, and bouce houses. Kevin, Alisha, Alyssa, Mom and Dad all met us out there. It was a beautiful day, and the kids had a blast.Everyone kept asking Raelee if she was Carmen Miranda, and she would look at them like they were crazy. She just kept saying, "I'm the Chiquita Banana girl"!How cute are Dorothy and Ms. Cha Cha?Raelee was SO excited that they had pony ridesDorothy was back to blonde. The wig was too hot and itchy. Bless her heart, she wanted to wear it so bad, but she just couldn't stand it anymore.

Trying to eat the cookie without getting it all over the costumeRoxie even sported her halloween shirt. She got more attention than the girls!

A Day Out With Thomas

There is nothing more that I would love to do, than take Colton to visit Thomas The Train. He LOVES Thomas. Everything during the day is about Thomas. Well Saturday, Grandmother and Pawpaw took us over to Rusk Texas to do just that. We spent the "Day out with Thomas". We brought Alyssa with us, so it was a day for the "little" cousins. We got to take a train ride on the actual Thomas the Train, and then they had lots of festivities for the kids to do afterwards.

Waiting to board the train

Thomas the Tank Engine!

After the train ride, we got a snack and toured the "Island of Sodor". They had some horses, bounce houses, train tables, tattoos, and of course......a huge souvenir tent! We even got to meet Sir Topham Hat.

Well, Hi Mr. Horsey

They were running through a bubble machine

Alyssa found something "girly" to do, like color
Two tired babies on the way home!
Showing off their souvenirs....a Thomas T-shirt and a train whistle. Thanks Pawpaw! I also bought Colton a conductor hat, toothbrush, watch and magnet. I can never get him to wear hats, but he wants to wear this one ALL the time!
Their tattoos....Alyssa got Rosie, and Colton got Thomas.
They had such an amazing time. I love making special memories with each one of my babies. Maybe Colton will grow up to be an engineer just like his great-grandfather....Papa. I'm sure he would be so proud, and thrilled about his love for trains!

First Field Trip

My big girl had her first field trip Friday. The WHOLE Kindergarten went to the pumpkin patch, then to the duck pond. I think she was just as excited about riding on a school bus, as she was about the actual trip. It was really an eye opener to watch her with her friends and see how grown up and independent she has become. It's so fun to watch the little girls giggle, and the boys fight over who is going to sit next to what girl. On that note.....3 boys were literally fighting at one time, over who was going to walk next to Raelee on the sidewalk! Are you kidding me? This is WAAAAY to early for that. Anyway, she had an amazing time, and has made some really sweet, new friends. My little baby girl is now a big Kindergartner going on field trips. WOW...I just can't wrap my head around that! Oh how I love that precious girl : )

Mrs.Burton's Class

After a pumpkin story by a wizard, a run through the pumpkin patch, a picnic and some play time in the park.....these kiddos were ready for nap time!
